To be quite honest, this year has been an emotional roller coaster. I have experienced the deepest sadness, but also felt joy in many ways. As I reflect on this past year, I want to remember these moments that have defined the person that I am. It’s important to not discount and embrace the painful moments because they shape who you are and help you grow. January I hosted my best friends bachelorette weekly in Austin! It was filled with lots of hot tub-ing, pole dancing classes and explicit souvenirs (because duh). I’ve been to five bachelorette parties, including my own, and they have all been in Austin – but…

Making Our Wedding Album
Drew and I got our wedding photos back a few weeks ago and they are absolutely beautiful! Lindsay took over 2500 photos and had them ALL edited and back to us within TWO WEEKS of our wedding. Two weeks people! I don’t know how she does it but we love her for it! Now that we have all of these wonderful photos, I wanted to put them into an album that we could keep forever. Last summer, I made a photobook with all of our adventures from our time in China. We took so many pictures but didn’t know what to do with them, so I decided that creating a photobook…

Top Three Priorities!
Planning a wedding can be overwhelming to say the least. There are so many moving parts that the entire thing can quickly become too much. Something I did when I first started planning was pick my top three priorities. These were the three things that were the most important to me and that most of our budget would go towards. A lot of people may not know this, but I actually didn’t want to have a wedding. I wanted to elope with just the two of us in some beautiful location around the world, and then go on the best vacation we could have ever dreamed of. Fast forward 18 months of being engaged filled with planning, budgeting, emails, tears (happy and sad), and lots of hugs from Drew, we had the most amazing wedding either of us could have ever imagined. Needless to say, I am so glad Drew convinced me that getting married in front of all of our family and friends would be the best way to…

It’s been over a month since our wedding day and being married is honestly pretty great. You get to spend every day with your best friend and finally refer to him as husband. You say “we” whenever we make decisions and actually know that it is a “now” thing instead of a “soon-to-be”. You know that they are now your forever person until you are grey and old. But as each day as a married woman goes on, I can’t help but randomly think about our wedding day and things that make me go: “I’m so glad we did that!” and also, “Eek, we probably didn’t need that”. I have…
